Its back! This year's Street Play event will be taking place on Saturday 25 September as part of Glasgow City Council's Street Play initiative.
We hope that activities will appeal to everyone in our community and all are welcome! From skateboarding lessons, to picnics, to Waverley Park's first ever dog show, we've got some fun activities planned, or feel free if you just want to take the opportunity to have a cuppa and a natter with some of your neighbours. See below the schedule for the day:
11am to 12pm Waverley Wheels - All wheels welcome on our mini bike track, with skateboard lessons, BMX bunny-hop comps and more
12pm to 1pm Piano Picnic on Peveril - Bring a picnic and a blanket and enjoy lunch with live music
1pm - 2pm Ravenswood RUFTS - Bring your pooch to our first ever dog show. Featuring Woodstock's Fortune Telling Pup!
2pm - 2.30pm Ravenswood Mini Ravers - Fancy dress kids disco featuring DJ WAVY RAVY
2.30pm - 3pm Puppet Parade - Bring pots and pans and join a marching band to celebrate the kids' puppets
3pm Piano Tea Dance - Finish in style with a good ol' fashioned dance or two!
Events will take place between 11am and 3pm. Ravenswood Drive (from Dinmont Road to Woodstock Ave) and Peveril Avenue (from Nigel Gardens to Ravenswood Drive) will be closed from 10am to 4pm. Emergency Access will be available.
